who was she :

player, favorite among her friends, near n dear ones
what happened to her :
Ruchika was molested in 1990 by Rathore,the then Inspector General of Police Haryana . She committed suicide three years later by consuming poison.
Her best friend recalls that all day she would cry on her school desk with her face down not talking to anyone, after the incident.
Whats shocking is that her batch-mate was the daughter of the IGP who molested her. Later on the school expelled Ruchika on the terms of not 'paying the fee'.
What shook her was the pressure she was getting from the social Werewolves then.. she faced her brother Ashu being arrested on false charges of theft infront of their own home. She was taken aback completely broken she gave up her life.
Her case lawyer stated that she was very courageous girl. She was not afraid to file a complaint against the top most official in Police. After 19 years it turns out that an FIR was never filed against the then IGP. Governments changed years after years. The IGP retired from service in 2002. "RETIRED"!!!
Mr.Rathore ..used his influence to harass the Girhotra family all the time. In 1997, the case was handed over to the federal police, Central Bureau of Investigation, which concluded Mr Rathore was guilty and formally pressed charges in court in 2000. And after 19 years now in 2009 the verdict came out.

is this justice... ??? say the same should have been done 19 years back. When ruchika filed the petition that would have helped her stay strong where she won. She would now be here in this world among us all citing an example to fight against all heinous acts in our society today.... If only ...................

Yet its commendable that young people like you are reacting and hopefully do some magic, so that everyone treat their fellow beings with respect. As Carl Bard said, ‘Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending’.

We need girls like Ruchika who will fight for justice without bowing down to social pressures. What we dont need is people like Rathore .. he doesnt desrve to b called Mr. The world is full of people like Rathore .... will there ever be an end to it??
